The term

RAG

Plain English

"The AI looks stuff up in your docs before answering."

Say this

"We're piloting RAG on our internal wiki."

The problem

You're smart. But someone said "RAG" in Tuesday's meeting and you Googled it after.

Too busy to study

Reading arXiv papers isn't a plan. You need something for the gaps between meetings.

Textbook explanations don't stick

You don't need a definition. You need words you could actually use out loud.

The terminology keeps moving

Agentic. RAG. MCP. Fine-tuning. Every month there's a new word everyone assumes you know.

Try one right now

Every term shows up three ways.

The word. What it actually means. And a sentence you could say out loud in your next stand-up.

Term

Tier 2

RAG

Plain English

"Before answering, the AI looks up relevant info from your documents so it can cite real sources instead of guessing."

Say this

"Using RAG on our internal docs means the assistant answers from our actual policies instead of hallucinating."

Term

Tier 3

Agentic workflow

Plain English

"An AI that doesn't just answer — it takes multi-step actions on your behalf, like sending emails or updating a CRM."

Say this

"We're piloting an agentic workflow to handle lead enrichment end-to-end, not just draft the intro email."

Term

Tier 2

Context window

Plain English

"How much text the AI can hold in its head at once. Beyond that, older information falls out."

Say this

"Our summarizer is bumping the context window — let's chunk the transcript instead of pasting the whole call."

How it works

Three moves. Five minutes. Done for the day.

1

Learn

Open the app. Get 10 tightly-chosen terms — new ones plus reviews the algorithm knows you need.

2

Explain it back

Every fourth card, type or speak the term in your own words. AI grades you for clarity, not textbook accuracy.

3

Use it tomorrow

Each term ships with a meeting-ready line. Say it out loud once. It sticks.

What's inside

Not a glossary. A daily practice.

Tiered learning path

Foundations → Applied → Strategy. Five tiers unlocked in order so you're never in over your head.

Spaced repetition

An SM-2 scheduler brings terms back exactly when you're about to forget them. Nothing wasted.

AI-graded explain-back

Type or speak your explanation. Get a 1–5 clarity score and one sharp piece of feedback.

Voice input

Talk to your phone on your commute. Practice saying the words out loud, not just reading them.

Meeting scenarios

Role-play the moment a colleague asks you what fine-tuning is. Pick the best response.

Cheat sheet, always

Every term you've learned, searchable and exportable. Bring it into your next 1:1.

What people are saying

"I finally sound like I know what I'm talking about."

I used to hide when 'agentic' came up. Two weeks in, I explained our roadmap to the CEO without a cheat sheet.
Priya M. · Product Marketing, SaaS
The meeting-ready lines are the trick. I say them once, they become mine. This is the only learning app I've stuck with.
Daniel R. · Sales Director
Better than a $2k executive AI course. Five minutes on the subway, done.

Questions

Yes, we've heard that one.

Do I actually need this if I already use ChatGPT?

Using AI and being able to explain it in a meeting are two different skills. Fluent trains the second one. You'll leave able to describe RAG, agents, or fine-tuning to a colleague — not just prompt them yourself.

How much time does it really take?

Five minutes a day. Ten if you do the explain-back exercise. The whole thing is designed around a subway ride.

What if I miss a day?

You get two streak freezes per month automatically. Miss more than that and your streak resets — but your learning progress and mastered terms stay put.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from the app in one tap. If you cancel during your trial you're never charged.

Is my explain-back data private?

Your answers are graded by AI and stored only for your own history. We never share individual responses and never use them to train third-party models.

Do you have a team plan?

Not yet — we're focused on nailing the individual product first. If you want to bring Fluent to your team, email hello@fluent.app and we'll figure it out.
